![]() ![]() Things start off pretty simple in Act 1 and really ramp up in difficulty for Acts 2 and 3, but it's very intense and fun to complete each area. This will take some serious patience, practice, skill, and some luck. If you think you're up for it, now is the time to replay every level to complete each with zero deaths. ![]() This can be done via level select, where you can see your best time and death count for each level. The latter achievement requires you to beat every level with zero deaths. Refer to each relevant achievement solution for the best level to get them on.Īfter the previous two steps, your only achievements left should be " Flawless" and " Shift Master." The former can be pretty painlessly done on the first level, but that's where this game's achievements will end for most people. Step 2: Mop Up Miscellaneous AchievementsĪt this point there's a good chance you still have a handful of miscellaneous achievements to obtain, such as killing 6 enemies in one slow-mo, five enemies with a single trident, etc. You should also unlock the " Speedrunner" achievement upon completing the game, assuming it hasn't been "fixed" to actually require a speedrun. You'll unlock the story achievements and most likely all of the cumulative achievements (I unlocked them all before finishing Act 2). This step will likely take around 4-5 hours or so depending on skill and some luck. They get progressively longer and more difficult, so don't make any assumptions about the ease of the game from Act 1. For this step, just focus on beating all 18 levels. That's everything you need to know to play the game. You'll then enter slow-mo for a few seconds, where you can either escape or kill the enemies shooting at you. When it's full, it will automatically trigger if a bullet is about to hit you. Unfortunately, you have no control over using it. Thankfully once it's full it stays full until you use it. If you stop punching, it starts draining. How this works is you have to punch people in succession to fill up the orange meter on the bottom of the screen. The other gameplay mechanic that you don't learn about until a few stages into the game is the slow-mo feature. ![]() The game mechanics are taught to you early on and remain the same throughout the game: If you quit the game, you have to start that level over. The checkpoints only work during that session. Unfortunately, you can't save progress in the middle of a level. ![]() There are a total of 18 levels, which may not seem like much but they consist of numerous "rooms" (you get a checkpoint after each room is complete) that seem to increase in quantity as the levels progress. Completionists, consider yourself warned. This is a monumental task, and based on the completion percentage of that achievement (0.05%), it looks as though only a couple of people have managed it. The real difficulty, and the reason this game is rated 8/10, is because of the 200 achievement to beat every level without dying. The enemies and the environment are what make this game difficult just to complete. The mechanics of the game are very simple and straightforward, so it's easy to pick up and play. You're on a mission to stop the evil Mr Stone from his plot to bring down the city. Mr Shifty is a top-down action beat-em-up game that sees you playing as the titular Shifty, who is able to "shift" (sort of like teleportation) through walls and such. It unlocks upon completing the game regardless of your total completion time Unobtainable/glitched achievements: " Speedrunner" is currently glitched in a good way. Does difficulty affect achievements: No difficulty Minimum number of playthroughs needed: 1 Approximate amount of time to 1000 : 6-10+ hours Estimated achievement difficulty: 8/10 ![]()
